Three 6 Mafia x YP x Mikey Rocks x GLC @ The Metro, Chicago (6-28-12)
Thursday night at the Metro was definitely an epic evening. With a nice late start time, people were gettin it in from the start, including myself. Moral was high and with the exception of a couple small scuffles and a mosh pit or two, the night was peaceful and a ton of fun. Chicago was in the building with performances from GLC featuring Gaggie and Chella H, Mikey Rocks featuring the Tooth Pick Clique, and YP. A host of other familiar faces in the crowd including members of Save Money and Treated Crew. Triple Six performed all the hits, and Juicy J stole the show with a lot of new cuts too. Great show, and if you missed it, hit the jump if you feel like having regrets.

This song features ILL AVE, a new hip hop trio consisting of Femdot, Gy The Prophet, and Dj Chi. Art of Storytellin' has a smooth soul sample with Gy and Femdot both telling a story of a really bad day. Gy's story tells of a black male hustler caught up in today's society while Femdot's story is more of a comedy of just terrible things that could happen to a average nerd.

City of Win launched its Artist Series in June, with the Windy City brand presenting new mixtapes from local artists each month. DeCamry first teamed up with City of Win for the streetwear brand’s compilation album, W1N Vol. I, which featured over 25 Chicago hip hop artists. Blazéd (pronounced blah-ZAYED) features a solo DeCamry over beats by TOPE, CDC, Infinite 88’s, and Madlib, as well as engineering by Stefan Clark of City of Win. “Precious Things” is the third and final single from Blazéd, following recent releases “Doses” and “Dew Yew Neu.”

The rumor mill has been busy, and it appeared as though Chicago's Chief Keef entertained major label offers from nearly everyone who matters in the game. After many months of speculation, Keef decided to ink a deal with Interscope records, officially announcing his new home last night in an interview with MTV.
