Last Friday's "Driving 88" release party was a complete success in my opinion. I thought to myself before heading down to reggies' that the venue was going to be packed with kids, and although the teens were in attendance, it was not nearly as obnoxious as I expected. Looks like Rockies fans are growing with him. The venue was indeed packed though! Among all the music fans were many of Chicago hip-hop's major players. Let me start by giving a big shout to Ruby Hornet for putting together their "Digital Freshness" series. They have really managed to together some great shows, showcasing very talented indie artists at a dirt cheap price. Did I mention that PBR tall boys are only $3 at Beauty Bar, and shots of Jamo are pretty cheap too (Although I don't recall the exact price because I had to many of them, didn't spend much money that night though).
